At Moishe’s, we understand that your belongings are precious to you. That’s why we offer our customers a variety of insurance coverage for their belongings.

Self Storage

When using Moishe’s Self Storage, there are two choices – Limited Liability and Added Valuation. Read a bit about both and decide which option best suits your individual needs.

Limited Liability

This represents the minimum coverage required by law at $0.30/lb/article. If an item is lost or damaged during your move, you would receive a payment at the rate of $0.30 per pound per article up to $2,000. This kind of basic coverage is designed to cover the mover's basic liability and does not provide you with substantial protection.

Added Valuation

This is an optional coverage that you should purchase. In the event of loss or damage, this kind of coverage would assure payment based on the actual value of the item, at the current replacement cost, minus any depreciation up to the limit of the coverage. The cost for this type of coverage is $7 for every $1,000 of valuation placed upon the items up to $5,000 with an increase of $5 for each additional $1,000 in coverage

Mobile Storage

Moishe's Mobile Storage offers our customers a standard insurance rate of $0.60 per lb/article, with a cap maximum of $2,000. You should also be certain to ask your homeowners insurance provider if they will cover your belongings while stored outside the house. Many major providers will offer some sort of coverage for your items in storage.

Additional Insurance

If you are moving antiques or high-end furnishings, you may want to consider purchasing a separate insurance policy to provide you with more substantial coverage.
