Self-storage has become a necessity in the last few months of a national health crisis. Click here for general FAQs, but for those scary questions you want to ask, read on.
Can I live in a self-storage unit?
The short answer? No. It doesn’t mean, however, somebody hasn’t lived in a unit before. It’s a dangerous thing to do it. There are laws against living in a storage unit, too. Self-storage facilities have to evict anyone attempting this.
How much is it?
Mini storage is affordable for anyone wanting to store for a short time (1-3 months). At Moishe’s out rooms start for as little as $29 a month.
Will you help me move in?
Most storage facilities will not help you move your items into your unit. It could be because they don’t have the resources or manpower to do it.
At Moishe’s, however, we have professional movers ready to move your items into your unit for you. Check out our free moving specials.
Are there any deals or specials?
Generally, public storage facilities have specials for customers who commit to specific lengths of time, like three or six months. many will give the first month free or give a discount if longer than six months. Check the self-storage company’s website for details about specials.
What if I forget to pay a month?
Don’t worry! You will be given plenty of notice that your bill is overdue. It won’t be featured on Storage Wars, unless you totally give up on your unit (just kidding).
Are the facilities secure?
Facilities with outside entrances are susceptible to break-ins because there’s less security. Buildings with inside access are much more secure and safer. Many of these are climate-controlled, too.
Are the photos real?
Depending on the complex and website, there may not be many photos, and the ones they do share, it’s not guaranteed they’re legitimate.
We at Moishe’s, however, have taken real photos of the facilities for you to view. Take a look at these photos.
What are the reviews?
Google Maps is a great place to view recent reviews of storage facilities. People give honest assumptions about how they were treated. Take a look at our reviews:
